Job summary

NEFCO Construction Supply LLC is seeking a Receiving Operations Supervisor to lead warehouse receiving activities and oversee a crew of associates. You will ensure efficient storage, accurate inbound processing, and adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting training and development.

The role reports to the Receiving Manager and requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with NEFCO ERP software and basic Microsoft Office skills are beneficial as you

Qualifications

• Must have a track record of being a results-oriented person who has worked in industrial warehousing/distribution operations for 2+ years.
• Must be an effective communicator up, down and across the organization.
• High school diploma (or equivalent); college degree preferred.
• Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a smooth and consistent operation so material and supplies are stored and slotted in an efficient manner.
• Oversee the daily routines of the assigned crew members.
• Help in the receiving skill development of all crew members.
• Work with Inbound/Inventory Manager to control inventory and minimize errors.
• Ensure all inbound shipments are processed for customer delivery and/or storage.
• Provide motivating environment for staff with high performance and standards.
• Communicate policies to ensure compliance and administer corrective action as necessary.
• Foster communication and teamwork among staff to achieve operational goals.
• Accept responsibility for company projects related to their area of responsibility.
• Work with distribution center team to maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
• Complete NEFCO trainings and monitor training initiatives for associates.
• Assist in implementing new training and enhance existing training processes for associates under supervision.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment.

Reports to – Receiving Manager

Job Summary: Reporting to the Receiving Manager, this position is responsible for all activities relating to receiving operations.

Job Duties

• Ensure a smooth and consistent operation so material and supplies are stored and slotted in an efficient manner.
• Help to oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members
• Help in the receiving skill development of all crew members
• Work with Inbound/Inventory Manager to control inventory and work with staff to minimize material ‘can’t finds’ and errors
• Ensure all inbound shipments are processed for customer delivery and or storage.
• Provide motivating work environment for staff with high levels of performance and standards being the norm
• Help in the communication of policies to ensure compliance and consistently administer corrective action as necessary
• Foster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.
• Accepts responsibility for company projects that may be indirectly related to his/her area of responsibility
• Works with distribution center team members in order to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and processing areas
• Completion of all assigned NEFCO trainings
• Monitor and enforce all NEFCO training initiatives for associates under your supervision.
• Assist in implementation of new training and enhance existing training processes for associates under your supervision.
• Ensure that safe work practices are followed, maintaining an overall safe work environment

• Monday – Friday (occasional Saturday)
• Typically 45-50 hours

Qualifications

• Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system
• Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Must have a positive, hard-working attitude
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stands on concrete floor for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of time
• Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
• Ability to safely lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents
• Analytical ability including basic math skills
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) and be recertified
• Must be detail-oriented and hands on ‘roll up the sleeves’ type with aptitude for multi-tasking and adapting to a fast-paced environment with ever changing priorities
