Job summary

Plimpton & Hills Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Manchester, CT location. This full-time role handles receiving and warehouse duties, ensuring accuracy and safe handling of shipments.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with responsibilities including unloading, inspection, labeling, and inventory control. Qualified candidates will have warehouse experience, the ability to operate forklifts and barcode readers, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience required.
• Ability to operate motor vehicle, forklift, barcode reader, currently used hardware and software.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from incoming trucks.
• Receive shipments, verify products on packing slips are there and sign corresponding paperwork upon receipt.
• Inspect contents of deliveries to ensure that the product is not damaged.
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
• Put product away into correct locations with the use of a barcode reader.
• Maintain organization of packing slips and assist in inventory control.
• Manage time in order to complete work load for the day.
• Move and lift heavy objects from one location to another.
• Read and decipher packing slips, computer screens and barcode readers.
• Practice teamwork in order to best service internal and external customers.
• Operate fork trucks and/or platform lifts in order to safely and effectively move product within the warehouse.
