Job summary

Lippert, a global manufacturer, is seeking a Receiving position to verify and keep records on incoming shipments, operate forklifts, unload trucks, and ensure accurate inventory. You will work with a team to support production and shipping needs, maintaining safe, organized work spaces and following standard procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma and forklift certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school education and one year of factory-related experience in shipping.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Licensed forklift truck operator.
  • Manufacturing/industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates lift trucks, forklifts or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments, areas or off of trucks.
  • Unload trucks using a scanner or pick list generated by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to complete job.
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and communicates with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Supports the received goods produced and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
