Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Receiver in Hebron, KY for a 3rd shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 10:00pm start). The role includes receiving, inspecting, and staging products for resale, with heavy freezer work required and full training provided.

You will operate reach trucks and pallet jacks, review documentation, and maintain a clean, safe work area across various warehouse zones including freezer spaces. Benefits begin after 60 days and a strong safety culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Minimum 1 year of distribution warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating reach truck, pallet jack, and forklift preferred.
• Must read, write and understand English sufficiently to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive new and returned product as it enters the building.
• Ensure product is saleable and ready for resale.
• Control inbound flow of the dock.
• Work in Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer areas; expect 50% freezer work.
• Review documents and verify quantity, identity, availability and condition.
• Operate reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort and stack product.
• Hand-stack when items are off balance or mislocated.
• Remove shrink wrap and keep area clean.

What you'll do as a Warehouse Receiver:

• Receive new and returned product as it enters the building.
• Ensure product is in saleable condition that is ready for resale
• Control the inbound flow of the dock.
• May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others. Will be expected to work in the freezer area for at least 50% of their scheduled shift.
• McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you.
• Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
• Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
• Remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more.
• At least 1 year of distribution warehouse experience, including operation of reach truck, pallet jack, and forklift is preferred.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
