Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Austell, GA is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to manage inbound product and ensure returns are saleable. Prior receiving experience is preferred and you will verify product conditions and document variances.

The role covers coordinating with carriers, maintaining stock integrity, and supporting the Receiving Clerk as needed. Eligible employees gain comprehensive benefits and vacation accrual from day one.

Responsibilities

• Direct outside carriers and contract unloaders to sort and segregate product.
• Follow and maintain product integrity as required by quality inspection standards.
• Determine and document overages, shorts, damages, expiration dates, product temperature, trailer condition, and other features of the delivery.
• Print pallet labels, enter purchase orders into computer, and assign doors.
• Cover for the Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Additional duties or special projects may be assigned at the supervisor's discretion.

As a Warehouse Receiver, you are responsible for new and returned product as it enters the building. Receivers verify that returned product is in saleable condition and ready for resale as well as controlling the inbound flow of product at the receiving dock. Previous warehouse receiving experience is preferred for this position.

What you’ll do as a Warehouse Receiver:

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
