Job summary

Musket Corporation seeks an outside terminal operator to manage daily operations on a rotating shift. You will oversee equipment and processes, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate railcar unloading tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, safety discipline, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong teamwork and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Able to respond in emergency situations.
• Follow all safety practices and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of an outside terminal operator in a daily operational shift environment, including overtime, holiday, weekends, and nights.
• Possess a detailed, and up to date, working knowledge of all equipment and operations.
• Control the operation of the facility, safely and efficiently in compliance with permits and safety regulations.
• Support railcar unloading activities as required, including connecting/disconnecting railcars and inspecting railcars.
• Communicate with supervisors and facility personnel about equipment conditions and performance, and suggest improvements.
• Correct abnormal conditions with appropriate action.
• Monitor facility equipment hourly and report status in shift log.

Job Functions:

• Perform the duties of an outside terminaloperator in a daily operational shift environment, including overtime, holiday, weekends, and nights.
• Possess a detailed, and up to date, working knowledge of allequipment and operations.
• Hastheresponsibility to control the operation of thefacility, andmust do so in a safe and efficient manner andbe in compliance withall environmental permits and all safety regulations at all times.
• Support railcar unloading activities wheneverrequired, which includes connecting and disconnecting railcars, opening manways ifrequired, and inspectingrailcaretc.
• Effectively communicatetosupervisory and fellow facilitypersonalrelativeto the condition of thefacilityequipment andperformance, andprovide suggestions for facility improvements.
• Correct abnormal conditions by takingappropriate correctiveaction.
• Responsible for continuouslymonitoringall facility equipment onhourlybasis, ensuring safe and correct operations, while recording/reporting status updates and pertinent information in the shiftlog book.
• Communicate all pertinent activities to the operation manager on duty.
• Fill out all formsrequiredfor that shift.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Maintaining professional communication and attitude in dealing with all personnel.
• Attend and complete alltrainingsand safety meetings asrequired.
• Carry out all other assigned duties.
• General labor workasneeded tomaintaina safe work environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations
• 1–2 years of related experience
• Able to respond in emergency situations

• Can work indoors, outdoors, and in dusty environments

• Normal hearing and vision (including color, depth, and distance)
• Must follow OSHA and company PPE (protective equipment) rules
• Able to climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights (with or without accommodation)
• Must follow all health, safety, security, and environmental policies
• Must pass random drug and alcohol tests
• Must live within 60 minutes of the facility or be willing to move (no relocation help provided)
