Harmons Grocery is seeking a Distribution Center Associate to help maintain product quality, freshness and assortment. You will receive, stock, rotate and face products, and prepare orders for store delivery.

A forklift certification is required, and weekend/evening availability is expected. Responsibilities include adhering to policies, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service to store teams and vendors.

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Basic math skills and understanding of product rotation.
• Must enjoy working with and handling grocery products.
• Must possess Harmons’ Forklift Certification.

$17.86 to $21.26 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness and product assortment is maintained throughout the Distribution Center. This person will be receiving, stocking and rotating product, facing product, taking special orders and preparing orders to be sent out to our stores.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the Distribution Center
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Distribution Center
• Ensures the Distribution Center is cleaned daily and meets the company standards for appearance
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Receives, stores and stocks a wide variety of products for the Distribution Center
• Prepares orders to be sent to the stores
• Pulls out of date product from the shelves
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Distribution Center as a whole

MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to cold, hot, slippery and wet conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires standing, walking and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 75 pounds from location to location.
