CLICK HERE to view our Warehouse Person (Loader) Realistic Job Preview Video Job Schedule: Picking and loading pallets possible 6 days a week, 12 hours per shift. 2nd Shift M-F starts at 5PM and ends at 1:30AM or work completion. Saturday shifts start at 3PM to 11:30PM, or work completion.
This labor-intensive position involves hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Responsibilities include ensuring order accuracy during loading and unloading, working from electronic order systems or sheets, and operating forklifts or electronic pallet jacks. The role requires maintaining accuracy, following warehouse instructions, and keeping a clean, safe work environment. Work conditions may vary across different weather and hours, depending on workload.
Tasks include transporting full pallets onto trailers, unloading raw materials, and selecting products for loading onto pallets or trucks, with a focus on proper stacking and shrink-wrapping for stability. The role also involves unloading returned products and pallets.
Physical requirements include lifting 20-45 pounds repeatedly, standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping for extended periods.
PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Operate power pallet jack or forklift to build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick systems
- Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items
- Wrap pallets upon completion
- Verify paperwork before loading and check trucks
- Stage and load pallets into trucks
- Complete partial and mixed pallets
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Maintain reliable attendance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years or older
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
- Warehouse experience including order picking, product staging, and operating powered pallet jacks or forklifts
- Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets
- Teamwork and cooperative problem-solving skills
