As a Receiver/Stocker, you keep our stores clean and presentable to improve customers' overall shopping experience. You ensure merchandise is accurately received and replenished by safely unloading freight, moving items to the sales floor, and stocking shelves.
This role is physically demanding. To be successful, you will need to understand proper lifting procedures and prepare to move merchandise for most of your shift. You will also replace damaged shelving, keep the backroom organized, handle hazardous materials, and ensure equipment is charged. While most of your time will not involve customer interaction, you may be expected to answer customer questions and assist in handling merchandise.
This role does not require regular travel; however, it may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Environmental factors vary by location. You may work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates—including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions—is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noise in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 lbs. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 lbs or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
