Job summary

OnTrac in Gary, IN is hiring a Package Handler to join our warehouse operations. You will unload trailers, sort packages by zip codes, and help ensure accurate, timely deliveries while following safety protocols.

We value team players who can stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and work a fast-paced shift starting early in the morning. Eligible for PTO, 401(k) with company match, and holiday premium pay. Training provided to new hires.

OnTrac is hiring Package Handlers

Address: 2100 E 15th Ave, Gary, IN 46402

Pay: $18.00/hr

Shift: 7 Day availability Shift times: 3:30 AM - 7:00 AM or End of Sort

Hours may vary based on business needs. "End of Sort" is defined as the completion of all required sort work for the day and clean-up activities, as directed by site management.

As a Package Handler, you are an integral part of the operations team, contributing to the smooth functioning of the warehouse. With a focus on quality and adherence to safety protocols, you play a vital role in maintaining a productive and secure work environment.

The Must-Haves:

• Ability to stay on your feet while working
• Ability to work in the heat and the cold as temperatures vary in the warehouse by season
• Ability to regularly lift, push, pull and/or move items averaging 50lbs and occasionally up to 75lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment
