Job summary

Sysco Newport Meat is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately select products, prepare shipments, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. The role involves reading orders, assembling pallets, labeling items, and moving stock with an electric pallet jack or forklift.

Candidates should be able to lift 10–75 lbs, work 10–12 hour shifts in coolers or freezers, and adhere to GMP/SQF policies while ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to lift 10–75 lbs repeatedly and operate machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders from the label screen and pick product by slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets in proper sequence.
• Attach labels to products.
• Operate an electric pallet jack to move pallets to the dock area for staging.
• Handle products with proper care and report any damage.
• Perform daily equipment checks and sign off on cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Sign in/out for equipment and follow GMP and SQF policies.
