Warehouse Order Selector – Sysco, Palmetto, FL

This position is located in Palmetto, Florida. Work Sundays through Fridays, with a day off on Saturday and another week day. Shift starts at 4:45pm each day.

Job Summary

• Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain.
• Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.
• Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Organize and palletize product to build customer orders.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 1lb–75lbs and up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Work on your feet for 10–12 hours daily.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1 year of Food Service warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• Prior experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift required.

Maintain a safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non‑refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen).
