Job summary

Penske Logistics in Avondale, AZ is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-conscious, team-oriented environment. Pay starts at $21.68/hour with a $1.00/hour shift differential and daytime shifts from Friday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Sunday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM.

Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, associate referral program, and a $125 boot allowance after 90 days. Duties include staging, sorting, packing, and shipping of goods with strict safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Accurately stage and sort products for loading.
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas.
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
