Job summary

Sysco Fremont is seeking Warehouse Selectors to pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues. Workers use an electric pallet jack and forklifts to build customer orders in a warehouse with varied temperatures.

No college degree or prior warehouse experience is required, and on-the-job training with clear opportunities for career growth is provided. Overtime opportunities are available, and incentives accompany performance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 10–75 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and standing for long shifts.
• Ability to work in very cold or hot environments and on feet 10–12 hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

• Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift
• Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders
• Other duties as assigned.

Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 0 - 1 Year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Work on your feet for 10 - 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• 1 year Selection Experience.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
