Gold Star Foods, a leading food distributor to K-12 schools in the United States, is seeking an Order Selector to join the Warehouse team. The role focuses on accurate order selection, operating an electric pallet jack, and following Voice Pick technology guidelines in a cold and dry storage environment.

As a full-time position, you will work on a schedule including Sundays and Mondays–Thursdays, with overtime as needed, in a fast-paced facility that includes sub-zero temperatures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Order Selecting: 1 Year (Preferred).
• Electric Pallet Jack: 1 Year (Preferred).

Title: Warehouse Order Selector

Division: Warehouse

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Position Overview

This position is a critical support role for the Warehouse Team. The Order Selector will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting orders in a timely manner.

Principal Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately pick customer orders.
• Safely operate electric pallet jack in a face-paced warehouse environment.
• Select and palletize products using Vo collect technology.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.
• Other duties and special projects as requested.

Required Skills

• Work in various warehouse environments including freezer, cooler and dry.
• Able to follow selection direction through headset (Voice Pick & Pick Label).
• Work overtime as required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and case-per-hour requirements.
• Ability to listen, understand and respond to instruction.
• Ability to operate within Standard Operating Procedures and follow OSHA guidelines.
• High level of accuracy.

Preferred

• Attention to detail.
• Work on your feet for 8-12 hours daily.
• Ability to frequently lift 15-55 pounds.
• Previous experience operating electric pallet jack and other warehouse technical equipment preferred.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Order Selecting: 1 Year (Preferred)
• Electric Pallet Jack: 1 Year (Preferred)

Shift Schedule

• Sunday: Start time is 10:00 AM (Full time), two dry selectors
• Monday through Thursday: Start time is 3:00 PM (Full Time), two dry selectors
• (Part-time two selectors) Sunday 10 AM-630PM, Monday 3 PM-1130PM, and Wednesday 3 PM-1130PM
• Cold Storage Warehouse environment includes sub-zero temperatures

Pay Rate

Base pay will be $22.00 per hour for full-time. Employees will also be eligible for incentive pay, which is based on performance percentage metrics.
