Job summary

Etna Supply in Wixom, MI is seeking a Warehouse Order Picker/Shipping Associate to pull, verify, package, stage, and load customer orders for pickup or delivery.

You will help ensure every order is accurate, properly labeled, handled safely, and shipped on time while keeping the warehouse organized and efficient. High attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or six months of warehouse, shipping, order-picking, or related experience.
• Six months of warehouse, shipping, order-picking, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass the operator exam and safely operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials and products from the warehouse and yard for customer pickup or shipment.
• Verify orders for accuracy to prevent shipping and inventory errors.
• Package and assemble orders safely and securely for shipment.
• Label products with customer name and carton count clearly.
• Complete shipping documents and freight bills accurately.
• Stage completed orders in the proper pickup or shipping locations.
• Load trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, yard, and staging areas.
• Assist Receiving, Warehouse, and Counter operations as needed.

The Warehouse Order Picker / Shipping Associate pulls, verifies, packages, stages, and loads customer orders for pickup and delivery. This role helps ensure every order is accurate, properly labeled, handled safely, and ready to ship on time while supporting an organized and efficient warehouse operation.

• Meet or exceed customer expectations by providing positive customer experience.
• Learn and understand the warehouse and yard layout, bin-location system, and the products Etna Supply stocks.
• Pull materials and products from the warehouse and yard for customer pickup or shipment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequently required to talk, hear, walk, stand, push, pull, carry, grasp, handle, bend, stoop, and use fingers.
• Regularly required to climb, kneel, reach, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must perform essential job functions safely and with consistent alertness.
• Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color vision.
• Work is performed primarily indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Noise levels are generally moderate.
• Ability to pass a substance abuse screening.
