Job summary

Americold is offering a 12-week, full-time internship focused on learning warehouse and distribution management within automated environments in Vineland, NJ. You will participate in process engineering and improvement initiatives, support inventory control and compliance, and collaborate with leaders across functions.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics, with leadership experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or professional settings, including project management responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply warehouse and facility operations, including dock and front office processes, labor and transportation planning, appointment scheduling, and inventory control.
• Support process engineering and improvement initiatives such as labor standards and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist shift leadership in coordinating and monitoring warehouse activities for assigned work teams to ensure service and cost objectives are met.
• Collaborate with teams and managers to help resolve work-related issues and participate in safety training.
• Participate in orientations, trainings, and informal meetings with workforce members from various functions.
• Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies and all federal, state, and local OSHA regulations.
• Travel to other facilities in surrounding area as required.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
