Job summary

Kraft Heinz Dover is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support production and shipments, safely moving, storing, palletizing, and preparing finished goods throughout the facility. The role involves operating forklifts, palletizers, stretch wrap equipment, and other warehouse equipment while ensuring safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and food safety standards.

3rd shift operations, overtime, and union labor terms apply.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous forklift, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Ability to become certified to operate powered industrial equipment (including forklifts and warehouse equipment).
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately complete inventory, quality, and production documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, palletizers, stretch wrap equipment, and other warehouse equipment following safety procedures.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, stage, and store raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Transport finished goods from production areas to warehouse storage locations and shipping areas.
  • Inspect products, pallets, labels, and packaging for damage or quality concerns and take appropriate action.
  • Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and assist with more complex repairs with Maintenance.

Warehouse, forklift, distribution center, shipping/receiving, logistics, and manufacturing experience are highly transferable and encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Overtime, including weekends, extended shifts, and holiday work, is frequently required
  • Employees should be prepared to work scheduled and mandatory overtime as outlined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • This position is represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement

What's on the Menu?

  • Safely operate forklifts, palletizers, stretch wrap equipment, and other warehouse equipment following all safety and operating procedures.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, stage, and store raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Transport finished goods from production areas to warehouse storage locations and shipping areas.
  • Operate palletizing and stretch wrapping equipment to prepare finished goods for storage and shipment.
  • Inspect products, pallets, labels, and packaging for damage or quality concerns and take appropriate action.
  • Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, clear jams safely, and partner with Maintenance on more complex repairs.
  • Utilize warehouse and inventory systems to accurately track materials, finished goods, shipments, and inventory movements.
  • Verify labels, product codes, lot information, and shipment details to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with inventories, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain housekeeping, sanitation, GMP, and food safety standards throughout the warehouse.
  • Communicate effectively with Warehouse, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Leadership teams to support operational success.
  • Support training and cross-training efforts while contributing to a safe, efficient, and team-focused work environment.

  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work around moving equipment, forklift traffic, and automated machinery.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and humidity.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnets, and other required PPE.
