Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Alsip, IL is seeking a Warehouseman to manage receiving, packing, and organizing materials. You will operate forklifts, a metal saw, and cranes, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role involves preparing orders for shipment, labeling and storing items, inspecting incoming material, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment. Overtime and multi-shift availability may be required. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be able to operate forklifts and cranes.
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
• Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Identify all material to be loaded with BOL.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming material. Report any damaged material to manager before accepting.
• Identify all received material with packing slip, tag material, store in designated location.
• Cut material with metal saw per customer requirements.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including but not limited to forklifts.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop.
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.
• Special assignments as assigned by supervisor.
