Job summary

Nestlé Health Science in Hazleton is seeking a Warehouse III to safely operate forklifts and support all warehouse operations. Responsibilities include picking, shipping, receiving, and maintaining accurate inventory.

This role requires a certified forklift operator with strong accuracy and teamwork. You will act as a subject matter expert in cycle counts and inventory records, collaborating with the team to meet KPIs while adhering to safety guidelines and GMPs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in warehouse roles preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid forklift operator certification required.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a distribution center.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to move materials.
  • Load/unload trucks and verify shipments against docs.
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.

Position Summary

The Warehouse III is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to support warehouse operations in addition to being able to fulfill duties of Warehouse I and II as needed. This position plays a crucial role in the movement of materials, including picking, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving, and maintaining a well-organized work environment while maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) in each area. Furthermore, this role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the areas of cycle count process and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Warehouse III Operator reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and receives daily direction and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move materials within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to designated areas.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against relevant documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and purchase orders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating inventory management systems.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate daily activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide updates, report issues, and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials accurately for shipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines while maintaining KPI’s.
  • Engage in Daily Shift meetings using 2-way communications to review shift actual results to goals.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Act as an on-the-job trainer and deliver essential training to associates for specific job functions.
Experience And Education Requirements
  • 3 + years’ experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid forklift operator certification
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.

  • Physical ability to repetitively walk, kneel, lift, stand, climb, bend, reach, etc. within a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Work collaboratively, with a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment, adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
  • Follows safety rules, SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processes.
  • Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds or moving up 50 plus pounds with assistance.
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $21.85 - $22.35 per hour

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
