Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a dedicated warehouse associate in the United States to read schedules, prepare orders, and move goods to shipping areas. You will ensure accurate picking, staging, and loading of products for shipment.

Responsibilities include operating equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and clamp truck, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalency.
• 1–2 years of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
• Experience using a minimum of 4 pieces of warehouse equipment.
• Exposure to Tier 1 or 2 warehouse management systems or comparable systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to learn proper operation of warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, orders, and requisitions to determine items to move and distribute.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment with exact quantities.
• Sort items on racks or shelves by size, type, color or code.
• Assemble customer orders and convey orders to packing/shipping.
• Load/unload/move/stack/stage products using forklifts or power equipment.

What you will be doing:

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed
• Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Assembles customer orders from stock, stage orders and/or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department according to OH or customer pick sheet
• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, pallet jack, clamp truck or other power equipment

Requirements:

• High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• 1 to 2 years of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment
• Experience using minimum of 4 pieces of warehouse equipment
• Exposure to Tier 1 or 2 warehouse management system or comparable system
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to learn proper operations of warehouse equipment
