Job summary

GEODIS in Roanoke, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily inbound and outbound operations. You will read schedules, pull and prepare orders, and ensure accurate loading for shipment while maintaining accuracy and safety.

You will operate forklifts or other equipment, sort and stage items, and collaborate with a team to meet daily fulfillment goals. This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to learn proper operations of warehouse equipment.
  • Experience using at least 4 pieces of warehouse equipment.
  • Exposure to Tier 1 or 2 warehouse management systems or comparable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed.
  • Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded.
  • Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock, stage orders and/or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck or other power equipment.

  • Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, pallet jack, clamp truck or other power equipment

Requirements:

  • High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • 1 to 2 years of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment
  • Experience using minimum of 4 pieces of warehouse equipment
  • Exposure to Tier 1 or 2 warehouse management system or comparable system
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to learn proper operations of warehouse equipment
