Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a warehouse associate in McDonough, GA to read production schedules, pull items, and stage shipments for processing. The role requires training in warehouse operations and the ability to operate forklift equipment.

You will also assist in order assembly and packing, supporting the shipping department with accuracy and safety. This on-site position offers a steady day shift, opportunities for overtime, and a pathway to growth within a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse or production experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and pick sheets.
• Comfort with heavy lifting and operating basic warehouse equipment.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday with standard shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Read production and shipping orders to determine items to move and prepare for shipment.
• Pull and stage products for shipment, ensuring correct quantities.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders and convey orders to packing/shipping areas.
• Operate forklift or other equipment to move pallets as needed.

What you will be doing:

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed


• Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded


• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code


• Assembles customer orders from stock, stage orders and/or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department according to OH or customer pick sheet


• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, pallet jack, clamp truck or other power equipment

Requirements:

• High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency


• 1 to 2 years of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment


• Experience using minimum of 4 pieces of warehouse equipment


• Exposure to Tier 1 or 2 warehouse management system or comparable system


• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos


• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds


• Ability to learn proper operations of warehouse equipment
