Job summary

EZ ON Auto Tops in South Carolina is seeking a Warehouse Operator to help manage the movement, storage, and distribution of goods in our busy facility. You will operate forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport materials safely.

The role emphasizes accurate order picking, proper paperwork for shipments, and proactive safety practices under OSHA guidelines, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
• Certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and other digital tools for inventory control.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of standing or walking during shift.
• Prior experience in construction or related fields involving heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport materials safely across the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using pickers and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments, preparing outbound loads, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on forklifts, cranes, and other machinery.
• Assist with materials handling operations involving construction supplies or heavy inventory items requiring specialized equipment like clamp trucks or load & unload procedures.
• Support warehouse supervision by maintaining organized storage areas, conducting safety inspections, and following warehouse procedures for inventory control.
