Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage and Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operator/Forklift Operator for 1st shift on a 4/10 schedule. You will load and unload goods, sort, stack and palletize products while maintaining strict safety standards.

Experience with stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred, and the role requires accurate follow-through with team members to support shipping and receiving. Responsibilities include operating MHE, coordinating tasks with others, and performing additional duties

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

This role will be responsible for loading, unloading, stacking, sorting and segregating, and case picking product. This role may operate a pallet jack to accomplish some of the tasks above.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Following proper handling procedure for products within the facility
• Working with accuracy and attention to detail on product orders
• Maintaining and working in a safe manner, in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards
• Palletizing goods and materials to put on trucks for transportation
• Successfully completing assigned tasks through coordination and teamwork with fellow warehouse employees and leaders
• Performing other duties as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be capable of learning and retaining the skills needed to work in a safe, productive manner
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
• Must possess have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work overtime and weekends occasionally as required
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and change direction mid-stream

JOB LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS

Warehouse Operator I:

• 0-2 years of warehouse experience. Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
• Stand Up Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Counterbalance Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Warehouse Operator II:

• 3-4 years of warehouse experience. Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
• Stand Up Forklift experience required.
• Experience using other MHE equipment preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work at a Warehouse Operator I level as needed for coverage.

Warehouse Operator III:

• 5 years or more of warehouse experience. Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
• Reach truck experience required.
• Must possess the skills to cross training Warehouse Operator I and II employees as necessary to fulfill customer demands and maintain warehouse efficiencies and productivity.
• Must be able to work at a Warehouse Operator I or II as needed for coverage.
• Must be comfortable working at multiple height levels within a warehouse environment.
