Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. Memphis facility seeks a certified sit-down forklift operator to support outbound loading and warehouse transfers. You will operate the forklift, use RF scanning and SAP systems, and collaborate with teammates to ensure accurate, timely shipping of finished goods.

Job description

This role involves driving a sit-down lift, loading outbound trailers, picking up finished goods skids and placing them in the warehouse or on to trailers. Forklift Operators must be able to operate a forklift with limited supervision in various warehouse capacities and be able to perform all Radio Frequency (RF) scanning functions needed to properly receive, place, remove, transfer and ship finished products and supplies throughout the facility.

NOTE: Riviana does not conduct any Cherry Picking, Reach Lift, Pick & Pack types of warehouse operations - just sit-down lift operations

What You’ll Do:

• Work 12-hour shifts, either days (6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) or nights (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), as assigned based on business needs.
• Work overtime as required to support operational demands.
• Maintain a current forklift operator’s license.
• Learn and perform multiple roles within warehouse operations.
• Operate warehouse technology and equipment, including handheld scanners and SAP systems.
• Quickly learn new processes, take initiative, and identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with team members through clear, timely, and consistent communication.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a productive team environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Take an active role in departmental success by participating in training, sharing knowledge, solving problems, and striving to achieve optimal productivity and performance.
• Arrive on time and be ready to work at the start of each scheduled shift.

What We’re Looking For:

• Requires a high school graduate or equivalent and able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must have at least 2 years' sit-down experience

• Competitive Pay: Starting pay of $23.92 per hour, increasing to $24.42 per hour after 40 workdays.
