Job summary

Roquette seeks a Warehouse Operator for POLYOX™ operations in Institute, WV. The role handles preparing finished products for packaging and drum shipments, with duties in inventory management, shipping/receiving, and forklift operations. EH&S participation and process improvements are part of the role.

The position is full-time with shifts 6:30A-2:30P and 2:30P-10:30P on alternating weeks. Candidates should have 2+ years in distribution/warehouse operations and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of distribution/warehouse operations experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT distribution/shipment requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conform to plant safety and environmental policies and prioritize personal safety.
  • Work in accordance with cGMP guidelines and maintain compliance.
  • Package, prepare, and load product for shipments based on demand.
  • Assess shipment needs against production volume and organize inventory with the shipping coordinator.
  • Load/unload products using forklift and ensure proper labeling and shipping documents.
  • Collaborate with team and participate in EH&S initiatives to implement improvements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, leadership, and prioritization to meet business needs.

The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for preparing finished product for packaging and drum shipment. This will also include inventory management, shipping and receiving functions as well as forklift operation for material movements. The incumbents will also participate in all EH&S programs and initiatives as well as assisting to implement solutions. This position is in Institute, WV. Compensation: The current hourly rate range for this role is estimated to be $20.00/hr – $24.00/hr. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:
  • Conform to plant safety and environmental policies, accepting responsibility for personal safety
  • Work in, and comply with, cGMP guidelines
  • Package, prepare, and load product for shipments as needed based on demand
  • Assess shipment needs against production volume and organize material inventory as needed working with shipping coordinator
  • Load and unload product/packaging material through use of fork lift
  • Application of proper package labeling and shipping documentation with regard to D.O.T. requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communication with other employees using multiple methods of communication
  • Participate on organization EH&S teams and initiatives to implement solutions and improvements
  • Maintain a high degree of motivation by being flexible, displaying good leadership, and being able to prioritize and make informed decisions to meet business requirements
What You’ll Need:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience/education in distribution/warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of distribution/shipping D.O.T. requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
  • Willing and able to: lift or move up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, ladders
  • Experience working in cGMP facility (preferred)
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a respirator.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Currently, distribution operations occur across 2–8-hour shifts – 6:30A-2:30P and 2:30P-10:30P. Candidate will be expected to work this schedule on alternating weeks. Depending on demand, overtime may also be required.

Business Travel

Limited to no business travel is expected for this position.
