Job summary

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment.
• Receive and unload freight with sit‑down forklifts, bobcat skid‑steers, grappler‑style cranes and articulating front‑end loaders.
• Record data and maintain receiving logs.
• Weigh inbound and outbound materials using scales.
• Perform visual copper inspections upon receipt to determine disposition.
• Perform any other tasks as directed by the supervisor such as baling, preparing for charges, cycle counting, and gathering slag for shipments.
• Conduct housekeeping and maintain organization.
• Carry out proper procedures and take accountability for work.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Warehouse Operator Overview

AMES Copper Group process is considered a secondary copper refinery. Secondary sources include scrap generated internally, scrap from metal fabricators, and scrap from consumer products. We transform scrap copper into copper anodes with over 99.7% pure copper, reducing scrap waste and playing a major role in the greening of our environment.

We are looking to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Operator in Shelby, NC. We are looking for employees to operate a variety of equipment in efforts to receive inbound trucks and stage material for future charges.
