Job summary

Switch seeks a Warehouse Operator to maintain accurate inventory, stock, and labels for Reno operations. You will manage inbound/outbound shipments, perform cycle counts, and support warehouse priorities with limited direction.

The role requires forklift certification, valid license, and strong attention to detail. You’ll work on-site and collaborate across teams to keep operations efficient and safe.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, including cycle counts, stock transactions, variance reconciliation, and related financial impacts.
  • Ability to enter and review accurate item and transaction data in an inventory system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to tow a trailer up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Switch forklift certification.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, and operate warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory balances, item records, and transaction data in JD Edwards.
  • Run daily cycle counts by preparing count sheets, completing counts, researching variances, and documenting corrections.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, label, and stock incoming materials.
  • Resolve incomplete or inconsistent shipments with Procurement and vendors.
  • Pick, issue, and deliver requested items, and process customer and internal equipment returns.
  • Create and maintain work orders and purchase requisitions, including part issues, returns, and work order closeout.
  • Prepare, document, and load outbound shipments through FedEx, UPS, and other carriers.
  • Complete inventory searches and material requests for internal teams and vendors.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized, including recycling and routine waste handling.
  • Complete local pickups, drop-offs, vehicle service trips, and trailer towing up to 20 feet.
  • Operate a forklift after certification and help move or install warehouse racks and fencing.
  • Suggest and help test practical improvements to warehouse and inventory processes.

The Role: Warehouse Operator

As a Warehouse Operator at Switch, you will keep parts and materials accurate, organized, and ready for Reno operations. You will receive, stock, count, issue, deliver, return, and ship inventory and non-inventory items. You will research inventory differences, maintain JD Edwards records, and support warehouse priorities with limited day-to-day direction. This on-site role includes local driving, forklift work, trailer towing, and physical warehouse work. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, including cycle counts, stock transactions, variance reconciliation, and related financial impacts.
  • Ability to enter and review accurate item and transaction data in an inventory system.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to tow a trailer up to 20 feet.

  • Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and uniform while working in the warehouse.

Preferred

  • Previous inventory or warehouse experience.
  • Experience with JD Edwards.
