Warehouse Operator

Join Synergy Flavors as a Warehouse Operator at the Chicago, Illinois location. Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, inventory control, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customer orders for shipment.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to verify quantities, destination, and routing.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials, compares packing slip to purchase order, and processes return shipments from suppliers.
• Monitors unloading and loading of bulk resources, finished goods, and waste materials.
• Ensures all safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
• Processes packages via UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects, records discrepancies, and notifies supervisor, purchasing, and quality control personnel.
• Operates dolly, pallet jack, forklift, and shrink‑wrap machine (preferred).
• Opens, operates or manages the Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Regulations certification (49 CFR, Parts 171‑180).
• Follows departmental policies, procedures, and continuous quality improvement objectives.
• Supports inventory by conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and performing other inventory‑related tasks.
• Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant (at least 3 years preferred).
• Experience with bulk transfer operations or chemical manufacturing processes (preferred).
• Experience with hazardous materials transportation (preferred; training provided).
• Fork truck certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Knowledge of GMP and food safety warehouse activities.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and PPE protocols.

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary $18.00 per hour. Compensation depends on geography, skills, and experience. Benefits information available upon request.
