Job summary

PGL in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced warehouse supervisor to lead daily fulfillment operations and ensure accurate inventory control. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and timely deliveries for wholesale and ecommerce orders.

Qualifications

5–7 years of progressive supervisory experience in warehousing or fulfillment operations.
Inventory and production planning experience.
Willing to work variable schedule including weekends and holidays.
Hazmat certification a plus.
Industry-related degree and/or certification.

Responsibilities

Plan and supervise warehouse safety and security programs.
Issue shipping instructions and routing information for on-time delivery.
Review invoices and reports to forecast peak delivery periods.
Organize requests and coordinate open action items with teams.
Supervise resources to meet daily objectives and requests.
Oversee wholesale and ecommerce fulfillment operations.
Monitor inventory and cycle counts; ensure data accuracy for KPIs.
Inspect facilities, equipment, and order maintenance or repairs.

Tasks

Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
Organize requests and facilitate open action items and provide timely notifications or communication
Supervise internal resources to execute daily objectives and requests effectively
Facilitate the execution of both wholesale and ecommerce fulfillment operations
Facilitate and supervise inventory and cycle count processes
Provide accurate and timely communication of data for KPI management objectives and communication with the customer
Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
Schedule or monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
Implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
Track and trace goods while they are in route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
Sort cargo before loading and unloading.

QualificationsEducation and Experience

Years of Experience: 5 - 7 Years of progressive supervisory experience in Freight Forwarding Warehousing and/or warehouse fulfillment operations
Inventory and production planning experience
Experience with all requisite compliance and regulatory requirements
Willing to work variable schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays
Hazmat certification a plus
Education: Industry related degree and/or certification
