Job summary

Albertsons Companies in California is seeking a Warehouse Lead Supervisor to guide a shift within our Distribution Center, ensuring inbound and outbound product handling aligns with center guidelines and service standards.

You will coach hourly staff, promote safety, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations and timely store service.

Qualifications

• Lead associates in a specific shift/area while supervising warehouse operations to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to stores serviced through accurate handling of inbound and outbound product.
• Coach hourly associates towards productivity, safety, and quality performance.
• Develop and demonstrate effective leadership skills and tactics during day-to-day operation.
• Coordinate with peer leaders to balance the workflow of the Distribution Center.
• Walk the warehouse to ensure compliance on sanitation and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Coach and engage hourly associates towards high productivity, safety, and quality performance
• Develop and demonstrate effective leadership skills and tactics during day to day operation
• Motivate associates through positive reinforcement and behavior
• Promote a safety culture by example, observation feedback and associate relations
• Coordinate with peer leaders to balance the workflow of the Distribution Center
• Make and support decisions that are consistent with the local union labor agreement
• Walk the warehouse on a regular basis throughout the shift to ensure compliance on sanitation and quality expectations
• Maintain visibility to associates in support of our Open Door Policy
• Leverage technology systems to investigate operational issues
• Coordinate weekly associate work schedules
• Maintain open and constant communication with the Transportation Department to facilitate inbound/outbound flow of product
• Coordinate with other cross functional departments (To include Inventory Control, Procurement, Building Maintenance, Sanitation, etc.)

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following

• Possess strong knowledge of warehouse operations, with prior work experience to include leadership roles
• Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to generate, read, and interpret computerized reports
• Ability to juggle operational and administrative tasks and meet multiple deadlines
• Ability to concentrate and focus while dealing with frequent interruptions
• Basic computer skills required, especially experience in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems
