Job summary

Cencora seeks a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead Warehouse Supervisors and teams, plan and coordinate all warehouse activities, and ensure safety and compliance in handling controlled substances and hazardous materials.

You will drive efficiency, coach staff, monitor performance, and manage budget while maintaining high service levels across the distribution network.

Qualifications

  • Requires broad training in business administration, supply chain, or related field, typically a four-year bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years directly related experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with associates, foster teamwork, and develop employees.
  • Willing to work extended hours and participate in weekend on-call rotation to meet productivity goals.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, systems, engineered standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a production-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct warehouse supervisors and their teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of warehouse activities in RF-enabled or non-RF environments.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, overtime, and compensation changes.
  • Ensure safety compliance with company, state, and federal regulations when handling controlled substances.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce errors and improve service levels.
  • Prepare and manage department budget within approved limits.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility and support inventory accuracy.
  • Provide emergency service to customers as needed.

Apply today!# **Job Details**Job DescriptionThis role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.**Shift**: Monday-Thursday 6:00pm until 4:30am or completeThe primary role of the Warehouse Manager is to manage the Warehouse Supervisors and their teams. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of warehouse operations in a radio frequency (RF)-enabled or non-RF-enabled environment, managing warehouse personnel and ensuring compliance with company, federal and state regulations regarding safety while working with controlled substances, pharmaceuticals, and hazardous and flammable materials. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.* Responsible for associates in the warehouse; tracks attendance, coaches and leads associates with a view to employee growth and development, monitors performance, and manages overtime and other compensation changes.* Directs warehouse activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing inventory.* Maintains process management, productivity measures, and quality controls.* Reviews, tracks and analyzes critical success measures and compares the results with the targets on a regular basis. Develops and plans for improvement in areas such as order filling errors, late deliveries and overall service levels. Evaluates associates’ performance in achieving standards.* Responds to production problems by implementing solutions.* Enforces compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety roles and government regulations.* Studies current and future needs of the company as it relates to the management of receiving, stocking, inventory, returns, shipping, and order filling; develops and recommends improvements to current warehouse practices to promote efficiency, accuracy, faster service and lower costs.* Prepares or assists in the preparation of the department budget and manages to the budget.* Ensures cleanliness of facility* Performs related duties as assigned**Education:*** Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.**Work Experience:*** Requires 5+ years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including 2+ years at a supervisory level.**Skills and Knowledge:*** Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with distribution center associates; foster teamwork, coach and develop employees.* Must be willing to work extended hours, take part in weekend on-call rotation, as needed, to meet productivity goals and provide emergency service to customers.* Must be willing to participate in physical inventory, as scheduled.* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.* Good negotiating skills.* Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.* Knowledge of warehouse operations and systems, engineered standards and regulatory compliance matters.* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work in a production-driven environment.* Strong analytical and mathematical skills.* Knowledge of computers to operate effectively in Microsoft Office products.# ******What Cencora offers******We provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day.
