Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee multiple areas critical to smooth operations. You will lead, hire, train and appraise staff while ensuring quality, safety and on-time performance across the warehouse.

You will implement improvements, coordinate with maintenance, and enforce OSHA compliance. This role requires 4+ years of experience and a strong background in warehousing and process optimization.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends, as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field.
• 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO environment.
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience.
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments.
• Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills.

• Ensure records are maintained and reports completed timely.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
• Demonstrate an understanding of GXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives

• Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner
• Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 4 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
• 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
