Job summary

Harrington Process Solutions is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in the United States. The role directs and supports warehouse/driver staff, ensures safety, and drives efficient operations across receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.

We value leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration with all levels of staff to maintain high service levels and compliance with regulations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
• Must frequently lift and move 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent or at least one year of warehouse experience managing hourly employees.
• Proficiency with warehouse policies and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills with ability to collaborate with all levels of staff.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of three or fewer warehouse/driver associates; participate in hiring and performance evaluations; approve timecards and schedules.
• Maintain warehouse security, equipment and vehicle upkeep, and ensure safe use.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations for warehousing, shipping, and material handling.
• Create systems for organization and communication; ensure efficient space utilization.
• Maintain health and safety standards; provide safety training and ensure staff safety; read customer orders.
• Relocate materials from receiving to storage; rack according to size, type, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders and move to staging or trucks for delivery.
• Mark materials with IDs; record quantities and perform data entry.
• Submit requisitions to order materials from other locations; prepare parcels for mail; conduct inventory counts.
• Serve as back-up when the delivery driver is unavailable.

What You'll Do

• Direct supervision of three or less warehouse/driver associates. Participates in hiring process and formal performance evaluations. Approve timecards, create schedules as necessary.
• Ensuring the warehouse is secure, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and ensuring their safe use.
• Following federal, state, and local regulations for warehousing, shipping, and material handling.
• Creating systems for organization and communication and ensuring efficient space utilization.
• Maintaining health and safety standards, safety training certifications and ensuring the safety of staff. Read customer orders to determine items to be gathered and distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage areas. Sort and place materials or items on racks or other storage areas according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or in boxes. Convey orders to staging areas and/or onto trucks for delivery.
• Mark materials with identifying information. Record amount of materials or items received and distributed. Perform data entry of records into the computer.
• Complete requisition forms to order materials from other company locations. Prepare parcels for mail. Perform physical counts of existing inventory and maintains inventory records.
• Act as back-up when delivery driver is unavailable.
