Job summary

EMJ, formally Earle-M.-Jorgensen-Company, located in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Leadperson to coordinate daily warehouse activities, manage orders, allocate inventory, and assign tasks. You will work with the Plant Operations team to keep productivity high and safety a priority.

The Leadperson bridges communication between staff and management, ensuring efficient workflow and continuous improvement in operations. This role is on-site and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehousing or material handling experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong leadership and clear communication skills.
• Ability to read instructions and blueprints.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Review daily orders and freight to plan and assign work.
• Verify manpower and allocate employees to stations.
• Distribute material and inventory for order completion.
• Inspect stock and ensure accurate placement.
• Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
• Maintain safety and report unsafe conditions.
• Bridge communication between employees and management.
