## Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control CoordinatorApplylocations: SES Baltimore (B1), MDtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: R263078**About Shepherd Electric Supply**Since 1892, Shepherd Electric Supply has been the first call when complex, time-critical electrical challenges need to be solved, and reliability truly matters. We move materials accurately and on time, so contractors stay on schedule, projects stay on track, and customers never have to wonder if we will come through.Our success comes from people who take pride in doing things the right way — safely, accurately, and with care for teammates and customers alike. If you want to do work that matters at a company that notices, this is the place.**Why This Role Matters**Consistent operations across every branch depend on more than good intentions — they depend on someone who watches the data, catches the exceptions, and closes the loop before small issues become expensive ones. The Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control Coordinator is that person.This role reviews the reports and queues that reveal how each branch is really running — inventory accuracy, packing accountability, cycle counts, aging invoices, and returns — and turns what the numbers show into clear, assigned follow-up. When errors are tracked to their source, playbooks stay current, and new hires are trained the right way, the whole operation runs tighter and more predictably.When this role is done well, branch teams get consistent support, leaders get accurate visibility, and inventory integrity holds across all locations.**Work Shift and Hours:*** Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm or depending on business needs.**Compensation Details:*** The expected base salary for this position is starting between $55,000 - $75,000 annually, more depending on experience and negotiations.**How This Role Connects to Our Compass*** **We Keep Our Promises:** You own the follow-up. When a report shows an exception or a queue starts to age, you make sure it reaches the right person and gets resolved — not filed away for later.* **We Stay Hungry:** You do not just process reports — you read them for patterns. When the same error keeps surfacing, you push for a procedure that prevents it, not another one-time correction.* **We Grow Together:** You strengthen every branch you support. Clear playbooks, solid onboarding, and consistent standards make the whole operation more capable — not just your desk.* **We Own It:** You hold recurring work to a standard without being reminded. Daily reviews get done, discrepancies get investigated, and confidential information stays confidential.* **We Go Above & Beyond:** You see the trend before it becomes a problem and turn it into a process improvement. Branch teams trust that the support you provide is accurate, timely, and worth acting on.**Key Outcomes -** *Organized by what matters, not just what you do.***Error Tracking & Exception Review (UET)*** Review the error tracking dashboard (UET) daily and investigate the issues it surfaces* Assign each error to the proper department and manager for review and coaching* Monitor error trends and flag when they call for new or updated company procedures**Daily Operations & Inventory Reporting*** Review Negative On Hand reports and communicate inventory discrepancies that require correction or follow-up* Monitor RF Packer Initials reports to support packing accountability and process visibility* Review Cycle Count queues for RF branches to keep counts completed on time* Review RF Timing and replenishment reports for RF branches to catch workflow or process concerns* Review No Location, Canceled Order, Adjustment Variance, Returns Processed, Closed SO, and Quantity Change After Processing reports for accuracy, exceptions, and corrective action* Review Pick/Recv reports for RF branches and distribute related communication as needed* Track UET reporting activity across all branches and support follow-up on lessons learned**Queue Management & Branch Follow-Up*** Monitor Invoice Preview Queue activity, including Q, P, and M status items across branches* Review aging items in invoice preview, return goods, direct re-ship, and in-process queues* Coordinate branch follow-up on unresolved queue activity and operational exceptions* Support recurring branch maintenance reviews across BALT, ROSE, DC, FRED, BELT, RICH, and STER**Branch Standards, Training & Documentation*** Support visual warehouse inspections and branch standards reviews across assigned locations* Verify onboarding completion for new operations hires and support new-hire training and playbook presentations* Provide ongoing training support for operations employees and managers* Create, update, and maintain operations playbooks, guides, and process documentation* Assist with quarterly safety training updates for managers and confirm related communication is completed* Review and file return paperwork in line with operational expectations**Continuous Improvement & Operational Support*** Identify recurring issues from reports, queues, and branch follow-up, and recommend process improvements* Maintain RF branch comparison information at the beginning of each month* Support UET lessons-learned communication and follow-through* Maintain min/max review activity were assigned and support operational consistency across branches**What Success Looks Like** - After 90 days, you and your supervisor should both be able to point to these markers:* Daily reporting and exception review are completed consistently and accurately* Aging queue items and branch follow-ups are identified and communicated on time* Operations playbooks, guides, and onboarding materials are current and reliable* Recurring reporting trends are escalated or converted into process improvements* Branch teams receive clear, consistent support on reporting, standards, training, and expectations* Leadership trusts that inventory accuracy and operational reporting hold up across all branches**Who Thrives Here** - This role is a strong fit if:* You catch the exception others scroll past — accuracy and consistency are second nature* You read reports for root-cause patterns, not just line items to close* You follow through across all branches without letting anything slip* You communicate clearly and professionally with branch employees, managers, and leadership* You take ownership of recurring work and keep confidential information confidential* You would rather build a playbook that prevents an error than correct the same one twice**Qualifications & Requirements*** High school diploma or equivalent required;
