Job summary

Axiom Staffing Group is seeking dependable Material Handlers and Powered Equipment Operators for a large Charleston distribution center. You will move, pick, stage, and process products safely throughout our facility, using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of warehouse and/or powered-equipment experience required.
• RF scanner and basic Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Must be safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, move, stage, store, pick, and stack palletized, slip-sheeted, floor-loaded, and cartonized products.
• Perform pallet picks, case picks, pallet building, conveyor loading, and carton handling.
• Operate powered and non-powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks.
• Operate 589 transloader or high-reach equipment, when assigned, up to heights of 64 feet.
• Complete required daily equipment safety inspections and report issues.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to identify, locate, move, and track inventory.
• Assist with box assembly, labeling, pallet building, staging, and other warehouse tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and supervisor directions; maintain a clean work area.

Our client, a large Charleston distribution center, is seeking dependable Material Handlers and Powered Equipment Operators to support daily warehouse operations. These positions are responsible for safely moving, picking, staging, and processing products throughout the facility.

Sample Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, move, stage, store, pick, and stack palletized, slip-sheeted, floor-loaded, and cartonized products.
• Perform pallet picks, case picks, pallet building, conveyor loading, and carton handling.
• Operate powered and non-powered warehouse equipment, including: Forklifts Stand-up walkies Reach trucks Stand-up pacers High-reach equipment Pallet jacks and related material-handling equipment.
• Operate 589 transloader or high-reach equipment, including work at heights up to 64 feet, when assigned.
• Complete required daily equipment safety inspections and report maintenance or operational issues.
• Use RF scanners, keyboards, walkie-talkies, and warehouse management systems to identify, locate, move, and track inventory.
• Assist with box assembly, taping, labeling, pallet building, staging, and other warehouse functions.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and supervisor direction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist other departments and perform additional duties as business needs require.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• 6+ months of warehouse and/or powered-equipment experience required.
• RF scanner and basic Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work at heights up to 64 feet when assigned.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours, frequently squat, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and concentration are required.
• Ability to hear instructions, alarms, and equipment warning signals.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Must be safety-conscious, dependable, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to wear required personal protective equipment.
