Job summary

JJ Haines in Richmond, VA is seeking a Warehouse Employee to receive, pick, pack and ship orders, and to organize stock to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment and a top-notch customer experience.

You will help maintain safety, accuracy and productivity, operate a forklift, and collaborate with team members. Prior warehouse experience and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse experience strongly preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift strongly preferred.
• Must be able to lift and manage heavy objects, up to 80 lbs.
• Must have basic reading, writing and math skills; good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed picking, receiving, and loading performance objectives.
• Maximize productivity by receiving materials and recording them in the assigned location.
• Accurately pick and fill orders to ensure correct item and quantity.
• Check pick sheets to ensure proper material selection and staging for loading.
• Report discrepancies with products or workflow to a manager.
• Load trailers in accordance with proper weight charts.
• Build and assemble products by customer using load sheets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area and exhibit a "Customer First" attitude.
• Perform regular safety checks on machines and PPE equipment.
• Ensure all trailers/trucks are properly chocked and safety devices engaged before unloading.
• Ensure equipment is stored and charged when needed at shift end.
• Cooperate, work and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, subordinates and outside contacts.
• Follow established processes and procedures with attention to detail.
