Job summary

Air Liquide in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Warehouse Material Specialist to support safe and efficient warehouse operations. You will receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming materials, and process shipments with attention to calibration certificates where applicable.

The role requires maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing the warehouse, and supporting cycle counts and special projects as needed. Forklift operation and detail orientation are important.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in managing inventory/assets in an industrial warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to work in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment and uphold a strong safety culture.
• Physically receive incoming material shipments; unload, inspect, label, and stock.
• Electronically receive shipments; process work orders and prepare outgoing shipments.
• Maintain warehouse organization; manage quarantine area and assist in cycle counts.
• Identify savings opportunities related to inventory purchases and shipments.

Job Responsibilities

• Safety: Promote a safe work environment and instill a strong safety culture. Work to achieve zero accidents, lost time incidents or recordable incidents by taking a leadership role in safety.
• Physically Receive Incoming Material Shipments: Unload shipments. Inspect shipments for apparent damage and make notes on bill of lading accordingly. Inspect shipments for content accuracy and make notes on packing list accordingly. Place rejected shipments in designated quarantine area. Ensure incoming materials are properly and accurately labeled. Review calibration certificates (as applicable) for compliance and attach certificates to specific incoming materials. Stock accepted shipments in warehouse.
• Electronically Receive Incoming Material Shipments: Fill Work Orders (Maximo Inventory Reservation Requests): Receive work order from National Warehouse Customer Service Representative or Administrator. Review and understand work order. Pick materials specified on work order from warehouse and stage in shipping area. Mark work order accordingly for picked or back ordered materials. Load outgoing material shipments. Generate shipping labels. Package materials for shipment.
• Other Warehouse Activities: Maintain overall physical organization and cleanliness of warehouse. Manage material quarantine area and process. Assist in cycle counts and annual physical inventory of warehouses. Execute special projects on an as needed basis.
• Savings: Identify and implement savings opportunities related to inventory purchases and shipments.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Operate forklift safely.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required Two years experience in managing inventory/assets Industrial warehouse environment. (Available 24/7 as needed)
