Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Materials Handler to load, unload, and move materials, and to maintain accurate inventories and records in our Frankin, VA facilities.

You will rotate among line positions, read production worksheets, and ensure proper shipping, receiving, and documentation while upholding GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S policies. Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Basic analytical and numerical skills with ability to perform calculations in different units.
• Capable of effective communication with team members and supervisors.
• Familiarity with Safety Methods and Procedures in a manufacturing setting.

• Experience in a noisy, temperature-variable manufacturing environment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with company policies including GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S.
• Load and unload materials and products from trucks.
• Rotate inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Move materials within storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Keep internal and external warehouses organized and up to date.
• Complete shipping and receiving records, tagging, and documentation.
• Utilize warehouse racking and space efficiently.
• Read and comprehend production worksheets.
• Attend mandatory safety and departmental meetings.
• Rotate into all positions on the line as needed.
• Box and palletize boxes with correct counts and IDs.
• Follow safety policies to ensure quality and compliance.
• Produce products according to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food standards.
• Perform other assigned tasks as required.
