Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Aberdeen, MD. You will perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and forklift operation with on-the-job training. Weekly pay applies with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), plus PTO and company stock discounts.

A forklift license and reliable attendance are required. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule on various shifts and ability to stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical support for automated packing system during core shift hours.

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Aberdeen, MD

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

Hourly Pay $19.67 per hour plus $1.50 premium when working appropriate shift

Products Being Handled: Appliances

Equipment Being Used: Ability to Learn/Operate Powered Industrial Equipment, such as Stand-up and Sit-Down Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Pallet Jacks, Etc

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Able to work within a diverse work environment

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
