Job summary

Staples Advantage Canada is seeking a Warehouse Delivery Material Handler to load trucks and prepare shipments for delivery. You will lift, lower, and move product in a fast-paced environment while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires basic English communications, 18+ years of age, and the ability to pass a drug screen. Overtime may be needed based on business demand. Staples offers full-time and part-time benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Full-Time associates may be scheduled for overtime based on business need.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes and be able to stand/walk for long periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Manually load trucks with products to be delivered to customers.
• Lift, lower, and carry products in a fast-paced environment; stack pallets.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and adhere to safety culture.
• Support Staples Supply Chain operations and ensure timely deliveries.

10:00pm - 6:30am/ Sunday-Thursday

What you’ll be doing:

As a Warehouse Delivery Material Handler, you’ll be manually loading trucks with products to be delivered to our customers. You’ll be lifting, lowering and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets and maintaining a safe and clean workspace as you go.

You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

• Ability to be MHEO certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment as required.
• An ability and willingness to keep work area clean.

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
