ABC Supply Co. is seeking a motivated Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Durham, NC. You will receive materials, pull orders for walk-in customers, operate forklifts, and load products onto delivery trucks.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years forklift experience.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds.
• Must work in non-temperature controlled warehouse/outdoor yard.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Building material experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from deliveries and verify quantities.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers and staging.
• Operate forklifts safely and load products onto trucks.
• Unload/receive all deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse.
• Respond to calls from the sales floor.
• Double check loads for accuracy and secure them for delivery.
• Assist with customer deliveries to jobsites.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm, but based off customer needs. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Specific duties may include:

• Maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse
• Responding to calls from the sales floor in a timely and professional manner
• Completing pick ticket orders
• Unloading/receiving all OTR deliveries
• Pulling and staging orders for each company delivery truck
• Performing rotating loading or unloading duties as assigned on a daily basis
• Double checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring that they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Operating forklifts safely and responsibly
• Treating all customers and coworkers in a helpful and professional manner
• Responsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned

Specific qualifications include:

• Minimum two years forklift experience is required
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds consistently is required
• Must be willing to work in non-temperature controlled warehouse and outside yard in elements
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Building material experience is a plus
• Positive attitude and team player
