Job summary

ABC Supply Interiors in Oswego Township, IL, is hiring for a warehouse associate to pull orders, load trucks, and operate a forklift. The roleincludes receiving materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring safety compliance on the warehouse floor.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 250 lbs with assistance, stand and maneuver around the facility, and obtain forklift certification if not already trained. Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to be trained and licensed to operate forklift equipment.
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout shifts.
• Lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance when required.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders for customers and load onto delivery trucks.
• Perform picking and loading duties using a forklift.
• Receive incoming building materials and place into inventory.
• Organize and maintain warehouse for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure product quality.
• Assist with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites as needed.

In this role, you will pull orders for customers and load orders onto our company delivery trucks. You will perform picking and loading duties using a forklift.Specific duties may include:Following all applicable safety rules and proceduresReceiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventoryOrganizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipmentPulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveriesMaintaining all products in a quality and marketable conditionKeeping accurate inventory recordsOperating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loadsEstimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweightPhysically sorting through various products in order to remove defective materialResponsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assignedSpecific qualifications include:Ability to be trained and licensed/certified by ABC Supply Interiors to operate forklift equipmentAbility to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shiftsAbility to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistancePrevious warehouse experience is preferredKnowledge in all applicable building material products is preferredPay Rate Information$17.50 - 19.50/hr.
