Job summary

ProAmpac in Cheektowaga, NY is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 3rd shift. This temp-to-hire role handles shipping and receiving in our warehouse and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Rate is $18.00/hour plus $1.50/hour shift differential for 3rd shift. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11 PM to 7 AM. Requirements include high school diploma, 1 year warehouse experience, forklift certification, and data-entry ability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or shelves.
• Fill orders for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute inbound materials.
• Wrap pallets to be shipped out.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight.
• Sweep up warehouse and dock areas, organize work areas, and keep supplies stocked.
• Maintain work area per food safety requirements.
• Other projects as assigned.

The Warehouse Associate handles the shipping and receiving in our warehouse. This is a temp to hire role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Job Qualifications:

• High level of physical activity, including standing for long periods of time, lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal personnel and external carriers.

• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or fellow employees.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Work in a manufacturing setting utilizing computers, dollies, forklifts, hand-held measuring devices or scanners, hand tools, safety knives, packaging equipment, pallet jacks, standard safety equipment.
