Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in Tampa, FL to receive, store, pick, pack and ship inventory. You will use a Warehouse Management System and operate pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts to move materials safely and efficiently.

We require 18+ years old with good attendance, reliability, and the ability to lift and climb as needed. 4+ years of warehouse experience and prior WMS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical testing
• Minimum 18 years of age
• 4+ years experience preferred
• Prior large warehouse experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts
• Receive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system process
• Select, pack and palletize shipments
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts
• Maintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will ensure products get where they need to be. You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory. Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so technology is required to perform this job. In this role you will:

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts
• Receive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system process
• Select, pack and palletize shipments
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts
• Maintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections

What you bring to the table:

• No fear of heights
• Perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testing
• Minimum 18 years of age required
• Good attendance and work ethic
• 4+ years experience preferred
• Prior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferred

Shift and Hours:

Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm

Compensation Details:

The expected rate of pay for this position is $18.19 per hour
