Responsibilities

• Assist in shipping and receiving, load/unload truck shipments and check in merchandise.
• Read orders to determine items to move or ship and distribute to sales associates.
• Move materials to shipping or storage areas as directed.
• Sort materials by size, type, color or product code and place on racks or shelves.
• Prepare parcels for shipping and weigh/count items for inventory accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Record quantities received or distributed in the appropriate system.
• Assist in counting physical inventory and ensure warehouse safety.

Job Summary

Assist the warehouse manager by performing product order processing duties including preparing, loading, and packaging orders, and general inventory control.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Have earned a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to pass a drug screen & physical examination.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs boxes of products and materials.
• Have the ability to use common hand tools, handle small parts, and operate assembly machines.
• Work well with others and work as a team
• Have forklift experience and be able to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Be able to apply basic math principles.
• Work under time constraints and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Be reliable, punctual, and maintain scheduled work hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in shipping and receiving, loading/unloading truck shipments, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assembling customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Opening bales, crates, boxes, and other containers.
• Operating company vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program or document.
• Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
• Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Preparing parcels and packages for shipping.
• Sweeping, dusting, and mopping designated work areas and emptying garbage’s into dumpsters.
