Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to join the team in Kansas City. You will unload deliveries, receive inventory, store products, and pick and pack orders, with occasional local delivery in a light van.

This role emphasizes safety, equipment operation (pallet jacks, forklifts), accurate records, and a commitment to timely, accurate fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and use PPE.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Steel-toed boots required.

Responsibilities

Overview

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will work with the team to ensure products get where they need to be, unload delivery vehicles, receive inventory, store product, and select and pack customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts.
• Unload and accurately receive deliveries.
• Store product in specific locations and record in the system.
• Select and pack customer orders, and at times deliver orders in a light van or delivery vehicle.
• Maintain a clean warehouse, following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment such as lifting up to 70 lbs., cutting wire, climbing ladders, and staying on the move in various temperatures.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and properly use PPE.
• Good attendance and work ethic.
• Can perform tasks quickly and accurately.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age required.
• Steel‑toed boots required.

Work Shift and Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Compensation

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
