Graybar in Asheville, NC is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler to support receiving, storing and order fulfillment. You will unload deliveries, store inventory, and prepare customer orders for shipment while adhering to safety procedures and quality standards.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, dependable and able to operate pallet jacks and forklifts with PPE. The role offers a daytime weekday schedule with learning and growth opportunities within employee-owned Graybar.

Formación

• Able to perform physically demanding warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts with safety PPE.
• Good attendance and strong work ethic required.

Responsabilidades

• Unload deliveries and receive inventory accurately.
• Store product in designated locations and document in system.
• Select and pack customer orders for shipment.
• Deliver light orders by van when required.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety inspections.

More than a job - a career.As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will work with the team to ensure products get where they need to be, unload delivery vehicles, receive inventory, store product, and select and pack customer orders. As an employee-owned company, our employees are key to our success and are given opportunities to learn and grow into higher level positions.In this role you will:Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push cartsUnload and accurately receive deliveriesStore product in specific location and note in systemSelect and pack customer orders and at times deliver customer orders in light van or delivery vehicleMaintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspectionsWhat you bring to the table:Ability to perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting up to 70 lbs., cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures depending on the locationSafely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPEGood attendance and work ethicAbility to perform tasks quickly and accuratelyMinimum 18 years of age requiredWork Shift and Hours:Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.Compensation Details:The expected pay rate for this position is $18.19 per hour - $20.69 per hour depending on experience.Additional Information:Steel toed boots required.The Value of Graybar:At Graybar, we are known for our comprehensive benefits and our employee stock ownership plan!
